Your Role:
This Manufacturing Plant Controller will be reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. A successful candidate for this role will be someone who is honest, ethical, reliable and has the desire for success. Responsibilities:
- Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides for integrity of financial transactions.
- Execute the budget and financial reporting systems/processes to provide timely support in preparation of annual budgets, multi-year business plans, monthly forecasts and actuals for the Hanford Plant.
- Responsible for the integrity of all financial aspects of the Hanford plant, including: all inventories (including but not limited to finish goods, raw materials, semi-finished goods, maintenance & repair and operations, bill of materials accuracy.
- Provide leadership to ensure adequate cost accounting processes are in place, including cost management, physical inventory verification and valuation (LCM), reconciliation of fixed assets and capital in progress to General Ledger, at the Hanford plant.
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP, statutory and fiscal requirements.
- Track the manufacturing capital and expense project spending, timing and cost impact against project plan/forecast/budget to understand and report variances.
- Analyze plant operating costs in detail and recommend action to increase profitability and enhance long-term return on investment.
- Advise the head of Plant Manager and Corporate Controller on financial implications of operating strategies, cost control actions and decisions.
- Identify and work with the corporate team to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field of study (e.g. Accounting, finance).
- 7+ years of experience.
- Prior work experience as a Controller in a Manufacturing environment.
- Strong work ethic, communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism and flexibility; must possess the ability to adapt to a growing & evolving environment and a dynamic industry.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced computer skills.
- Based out of headquarters but some travel to various facilities may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA
- Experience with an OEM and/or other relevant corporation; experience with a multinational organization.
- 3-5 years of people leadership
- SAP knowledge.
Annual Salary Range:
($120K - $155K DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
