Your Role:  

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of FX EV R&D to lead our research and development efforts for Faraday X’s innovative electric vehicle lineup. This role is critical in driving the development of our advanced EV technologies, including high-performance electric drivetrains, autonomous driving systems, and sustainable materials. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive engineering and a passion for pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop R&D Strategy:

Create and execute an R&D strategy that supports Faraday X’s mission to deliver high-performance, affordable AIEVs. Focus on integrating advanced technologies and user-driven innovation.

• Lead Product Development:

Oversee the development of the FX 5 and FX 6 models. Ensure the products deliver on performance, affordability, and user-defined features.

• Collaborate Across Teams:

Work closely with design, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of technology and user feedback in product development.

• Analyze Market and User Data:

Use market research and user insights to guide R&D decisions, ensuring alignment with consumer demands for cost-effective, high-performance EVs.

• Integrate Cutting-Edge Technology:

Lead the integration of advanced EV technologies, including battery systems, smart cabin solutions, and autonomous driving, while keeping costs low.

• Manage R&D Team:

Build and lead a high-performing R&D team, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with company goals.

• Ensure Quality and Compliance:

Implement strict testing and validation processes to meet safety standards and industry regulations.

• Control Budget and Resources:

Manage the R&D budget, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources efficiently to meet company objectives.

Required skills and qualifications：

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in automotive R&D, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity specifically in the electric vehicle industry.
• Proven track record in developing cost-effective, high-performance electric vehicles that meet mass market demands.
• Strong understanding of EV technology, including battery systems, smart cabin technologies, and autonomous driving capabilities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset focused on innovation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

Annual Salary Range:

($170,000 - $240,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
