Welcome to
FF Master Mini.

What should you do after receiving FF Master Mini? This guide takes you from unboxing to basic robot operation in about 5 minutes — unboxing, powering on, operating the robot with the joystick, and powering off.

During motion, do not touch any part of the robot with your body except the handle. Make sure there are no people or obstacles within the robot's operating range to avoid injury or collision.

Step 1

Unbox.

Power On.

Step 2 · Power on

  1. Install the battery pack. Insert the battery into the robot's battery slot with the indicator-light side facing up.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. Release it after the light turns on. Holding it for more than 6 seconds powers the robot off.
  3. Wait about one minute until the robot plays the prompt sound. The robot can then be controlled remotely.

Keep the robot still while it boots so that the IMU can initialize.

Operate the Robot.

  1. Take out the joystick and power it on.
    1. Master Mini joystick: press and hold the Home button for 5 seconds to power on.
    2. Xbox joystick: before use, confirm the joystick control mode is receiver mode and the operating mode shows three lights steadily on.
  2. Enter PREP mode. Make sure the robot has enough space to straighten its body, then press L2 + Start (LT + Start on an Xbox joystick).
  3. Stand up automatically. Press L2 + Up (LT + Up on an Xbox joystick).
  4. Walk omnidirectionally. After standing up, the robot automatically enters WALK mode and can be driven with the sticks.

Do not lift the robot in WALK mode. It may fail to detect the ground and kick unpredictably, causing injury.

Step 4

Power Off.

Step 4 · Shutdown procedure

  1. Press L2 + Start on the joystick (LT + Start on an Xbox joystick) to enter PREP mode, then lay the robot flat on the ground.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to power off.
  3. Once the robot's body goes limp, it can be stored.

After powering off, wait 6 seconds before powering on again.
